Scott Tucker is the owner of Scott's Auto Salvage, Inc., which has been in business for nearly 30 years. Scott is a veteran of the automobile industry. Scott and his wife Meloney have two adult children, Chelle and Wesley. Chelle is married to Mike, they live in Arkansas and they had their first child in October 2019, and his name is Tucker. Their son Wesley is married to Chelsea, and they, too, reside in Arkansas. The Tucker family is very involved in the Eldridge community and hopes to see the benefit the community as well as race fans all over the country. The original owners, Scott Tucker, Gregg Burgess and Bill Haley, were friends for many years. In early January 2008, this group of friends began the plan of building a motorsports park in their community. There have been countless hours of planning and working since then. The park opened in the spring of 2009. They attribute the successful build of the facility to the partnership and the efforts of many close friends who have stepped in to help. Bill passed away a few years after the track opened, but his family still visits the racetrack on occasion. The I-22 staff hopes everyone will come enjoy the park as much as they do!
Gregg Burgess is a native of Winfield, Alabama. He and his family own Burgess Transmission and have been in business 20+ years. Prior to opening the track, he was a serious drag racer for 20 years, with his family both working and racing together. You will also find Gregg's parents, Jerry and Carol Burgess, at the racetrack every Saturday. They were a huge part of making the dream of building I-22 Motorsports Park come true. Gregg and his wife Chris just married in March of 2019 and collectively have five adult children and 10 grandchildren. They have helped to make this a family atmosphere, with their kids and grandkids frequently working or racing at I-22! Gregg's two sons have done their share of racing. Kyle is not currently racing, but you can find Hunter racing just about every weekend. Hunter and Kayla's daughter, Alli, races her pink and black junior dragster every weekend, as well. Gregg also has a daughter, Courtney, who currently lives in North Carolina with her husband, Brad, and their daughter, Kennedy. Nick, who currently works at the starting line, is married to Chris's daughter, Ashley. Ashley and Kayla also help out at the racetrack in concessions. Chris also has a son, Zack, who currently lives in Birmingham.
